What does she do if no one claims the bird?

The bird was adopted by someone. Those particular type of birds can live a long time and are notoriously destructive - so they need a committed owner. I had a friend in grammar school with a similar bird and remember that the bird sharpened its beak on all of the crown moulding around the house.
